Dog, Robot, Repeat...

Yes, I just did a dog painting and yes, I did a robot before that. I'm still on that kick; it seems there are a lot of cute dogs and robots out there...

This silly guy just screamed 'paint me'...

"Silly Blue Dog" is acrylic on an 8x8 inch canvas panel which is attached to a 10x10 inch painted canvas. It can be framed or will hang on its' own 'as-is'.

The latest recycled robot is a cute viking made from old kitchen utensils. Acrylic on 8x8 inch gallery stretched canvas.

Titan the Bankster

I finished the Titan painting for now and will set it aside for a bit. I think he's quite a handsome guy in his shirt and tie...

More Mammals

It's been a really busy April so I have not found much time to paint. I did manage to get the beach mouse finished but not in time for the silent auction. Now I'll just give it to Topsail park in the hope it will raise awareness about this endangered mouse. Click here to read more.

After the mouse I started another dog painting. This one was inspired by a terribly cute and ugly photograph I found on Flickr. After obtaining the photographer's permission, I started on the "Titan" project. I decided to change things up a bit and since the 'bad boy' Wall Street bankers are in the news lately, Titan became "Titan the Bankster"

Here's my progress so far (notice the sketched in shirt and tie)...

Warm Blue Dog

Robots, dogs, robots, dogs, I wonder if I will ever tire of either...

This week I started an 11 x 14 painting and a few nights ago I think I finished it. I'll take it to my art workshop next Wednesday to see what our art teacher Steve has to say but I'm pretty happy with it.

Guess what? My next project is neither a robot or a dog, it's a Choctawhatchee Beach Mouse! More on that project later...

Wait in the Car

Minutes seem like hours to a dog... Didn't she say she would be right back?

Acrylic on 8 x 8 inch canvas panel

I decided to make this painting available on Imagekind as a print and I thought this frame and matting looked quite nice - what do you think?
