Back to the Business at Hand...

OK, being an artist and running a gallery was a blast. It was an exciting 10 days (actually 2 months if you count the prep time) but now I'm eager to get back to my other activities. In the next few weeks I'll start listing some of my original art in my ArtFire shop and may even have a few silly coasters completed to bring my ETSY shop back to life as well.

Efforts with our local feral cat "Trap-Neuter-Release" program are still going strong. We're up to 45 cats spayed/neutered since September 1st and hope to reach 200 by the end of the year. I'm using my creative energies to promote this program as well.

My "Gone Fishin" painting
is going to be used for a t-shirt to promote the non-profit group "Feline Friends of Destin" and today I created a sign for the Village restaurant "Cabos" to help them convince their guests not to feed the feral cats that hang around there.

It's tempting to toss them table scraps but that only makes the cats more "people friendly" and can lead to trouble. I hope they like the design.

Finally, I got my first painting commission the other day - a puppy portrait. LOL, who would have thought I would ever paint dogs?!? Turns out the lady who bought this painting wants a simi
lar one of her Westie puppy!

Robin, I'm not surprised at ALL that you've been commissioned to paint dogs! You are FABULOUS! But I have to say that my fave is the poster to not feed the cats. Funny=noticed=effective. GREAT job :)
