Last month a buddy in California who runs a great ETSY shop called Tags and Buttons sold me a big batch of excess polymer clay supplies and tools. Raw clay, tools, and a few odds and ends; among them, this bag of cool polymer clay pendants:
The pink pendants are a little less than 1.5 inches across and they looked like they would make a perfect backpack charm. I went to work printing a tiny copy of the robot girl on high quality paper and then used "Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue" to permanently attach the image to the charm. After it dried over night I applied 3 coats of satin, water proof polyurethane varnish to permanently protect the image. I used some jewelry findings and a cute pewter star charm to finish the piece. I think it turned out to be pretty cute and geeky at the same time!
