Today we decided to work on a project we've been planning for a while. My neighbor volunteers for a local Florida park and spends a lot of time organizing and running the gift shop at the park. All funds go back into the park to provide better services for guests and add things that the park needs like pavilions and picnic areas.
Since Sea Turtles are a big deal in this neck of the woods, a lot of what the gift shop sells is turtle related. We thought we'd use our skills at polymer crafts to create some neat little sea turtle magnets that the park can sell! The volunteer project took the better part of the day but we were quite happy to sit and work while we listened to the trees fall all around us. The tree crew asked us what we were doing on the patio and we told them we were making sea turtles. "Sea Turtle cookies?" one guy asked. When we said no you could see the disappointment on their faces... better luck next time.
They may not be cookies but we think they turned out pretty good. Lets see if park visitors like them enough to buy them and take them home!

What a great idea!!! How can I buy one.... :-). I am all for these kind of things.
I think it is great that you two did this...
And of course, here comes the question...did you flatten any? Kind of like a sea turtle run over by a boat!?!?! lol
Oh and eight more days...
Those turtles are too precious. Sending your lots of positive sales wishes all the way from South Africa. Its lovely being able to help others in need. Well done you two!
