Here comes Santa Claus...

OK, I'll admit it - the hamster project (see previous post) was putting a lot of pressure on me. I stared at "Hammy's" picture this morning and could not find a connection with the hamster in the photo. Maybe Friday will be better...
Instead of dwelling on my obvious hamster issues, I decided to channel my energies into other things. This was good for my ETSY store; I listed a new flat cow coaster and finished a 'weird science' character that will be in the store soon. I also started on my first 'Santa' coaster.

I approached the 'Santa' project with some nervousness, one can't be too trivial when dealing with a MAJOR holiday icon....
Once I had his face figured out, I felt I was through the hard part of the exercise. The only big question remained: Tongue or no tongue?
In the end funny wins out over any other consideration so, of course, Santa has his tongue sticking out. As he went into the oven for his 30 minute bake, I think I saw him wink at me. I must have done something right...

Love, love, love your cute stuff! You're right - things ARE funnier when you flatten them.
